A typical Reiki session takes place in a calm, quiet space where you remain fully clothed and comfortable, either lying down or seated.
The practitioner gently places their hands either lightly on or just above the body, allowing energy to flow where it is needed most. Depending on the session, supportive cleansing tools such as palo santo, sage, or agua de Florida may be used to help create a clear, grounded and intentional energetic space.
Experiences vary from person to person. You may feel deeply relaxed and drift into sleep, or notice subtle sensations such as warmth, coolness, tingling, or waves of energy through the body. Some people also report inner visuals, colours, or a shift in perception during the session.
Each experience is unique and unfolds in its own way. You remain in full control throughout, and sessions can be paused or stopped at any time if you feel uncomfortable or overwhelmed.
